“Central Hudson will be transitioning to monthly billing (from bimonthly) for its residential customers in July, and we launched a campaign themed 'Easier by the Dozen' to promote the change to 12 bills annually,” said Denise D. VanBuren, vice president of Public Relations. “We were looking for a fun way to illustrate the promotion and developed the idea to have one of our linemen surprise local customers early one morning by giving them a free dozen doughnuts.’”

Central Hudson filmed the commercial at the new Dunkin' Donuts restaurant on Route 9, and franchise owner Yuwen Chen donated the proceeds from their purchase to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley.

“We were happy to donate the funds to the Food Bank, which provides such critically needed support to families in need throughout our region,” said Chen. “We were glad to assist Central Hudson in making the commercial and delighted to also turn the experience into something positive to support the Food Bank.”
