Bomb Threat To DEC Office In NY Under Investigation State Police are investigating after a bomb threat was emailed to a government office. in the region. The incident occurred in Ulster County on Monday, Nov. 4, at the State Department of Environmental Conservation, targeting the DEC Region 3 office in New Paltz. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, troopers searched the building and did not find any explosive devices.  The investigation into the threat is ongoing. The incident happened in the westbound lanes near Meadowbrook State Parkway in North Merrick at around 10:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1. New York State Police said a trooper was attempting to stop a vehicle that was speeding across multiple lanes when he pulled in front of the suspect’s vehicle as it stopped in traffic near the Eagle Avenue exit.
