73-Year-Old ID'd As Long Island Drowning Victim
Authorities have identified a drowning victim on Long Island. The Southampton Town Police Department said it received an abandoned 911 call from the vicinity of Gibson Lane in Sagaponack at about 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. Dispatchers were able to re-contact the caller who reported a man was missing in the water after going swimming at Gibson Beach. Southampton Town Police patrol officers, Marine Units, detectives, Bridgehampton FD and EMS responded to the area to search for the man. He was located on the beach a short time later unresponsive. Man Accused Of Killing Guest At His Long Island Home
A house guest has been apprehended shortly after an overnight murder at a Long Island residence. Southampton Town Police responded to Oakville Avenue in East Quogue after a man called 911 to report a person was found dead in the rear yard of the residence at around 9:50 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. The victim, Christopher Hahn, age 43, of Hampton Bays, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 26-year-old man is accused of firing multiple shots into an occupied home located in an affluent Long Island neighborhood. Lawrence Brown Jr., of Riverhead, was formally charged with criminal possession of a weapon and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Sept. 9. According to prosecutors, Brown drove from Riverhead to Hampton Bays shortly before midnight on Saturday, July 7. A man allegedly driving drunk was apprehended after police say he fled the scene of a crash involving a female pedestrian on Long Island.The crash happened around 7:20 p.m. Sunday Sept. 1, in Flanders. A man has been accused of offering methamphetamine to a bartender on Long Island. The alleged incident happened shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, in Hampton Bays. That's when police say a staff member at Beach Bar nightclub requested that a Southampton Town PD officer assist with a male patron who had reportedly offered “drugs” to a bartender. A 35-year-old has been identified as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle Long Island crash. It happened just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, in Hampton Bays on North Road. Two men are behind bars after allegedly robbing a man in broad daylight in a Long Island park. The incident happened at around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, in Riverside, at the Riverside Maritime Trail Park near Flanders Road and Vail Avenue. Southampton Town Police said a Riverside resident was walking in the park when two men approached, grabbed him from behind, and pulled him to the ground.
