51-Year-Old Intentionally Strikes Another Woman With Minivan On Long Island, Police Say A Long Island resident has been accused of intentionally striking another woman with her vehicle. The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in North Bellport. Following a dispute between the two in a parking lot, located at 1733 Montauk Highway, Philomena Mistretta, 51, of Coram, got into her 2004 Toyota Sienna and intentionally struck the woman with the minivan.  The 63-year-old was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue with serious injuries. A 54-year-old East Patchogue woman was driving a 2009 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Kennedy Avenue near Pine Street when the vehicle struck a man working on a 2006 Dodge Ram parked on the northbound side of the road. A Suffolk County Park Ranger was patrolling on Outer Beach in Smith Point County Park when he was notified that a man was in distress in the water at noontime Sunday, Aug. 11.
