A 19-year-old man will spend years behind bars for a drunk driving crash that killed a young Long Island girl two days before her birthday. Jorge Bonilla Gutierrez, of Freeport, was sentenced to six to 12 years in prison in Nassau County Court on Monday, Aug. 5, in the death of Katerine Vanegas Hernandez. Teen Admits Driving Drunk, Killing 6-Year-Old On Long Island
An 18-year-old pleaded guilty to multiple charges for his role in a drunk driving crash that killed a little girl two days before her birthday. Jorge Bonilla Gutierrez, age 18 of Freeport, entered his guilty plea on Wednesday, June 5 for the August 2023 incident, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
