The incident happened in Baldwin, at the Ultra Lanes on Grand Avenue, at around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, July 27. Nassau County Police said several customers became disruptive and were asked to leave when they began punching, kicking, and choking a security staffer. They also threw bowling balls at the victim and stole the employee’s phone before fleeing in a BMW, police said. Officers arrested three suspects a short time later. Ex-Con Repeatedly Beats, Robs Woman On Long Island, Police Say A violent ex-convict is accused of beating and robbing a woman on Long Island. Phillip Mais, age 35, of Queens, was arrested on assault and related charges by Nassau County Police Tuesday, Aug. 6. Officers were called around 10:30 p.m. by a 43-year-old woman claiming she and Mais got into an argument and he forcibly removed her from her vehicle. Mais then grabbed her around the neck and threatened her with a gun, she told police. He allegedly then entered her home and damaged several items.
