65-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured In Hudson Valley Pedestrian Crash A 65-year-old woman is hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy Hudson Valley roadway. Capt. Ralph Cropley of the Town of Poughkeepsie Police said the crash occurred around 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the intersection of Hooker Avenue and Austin Court. An investigation found that a 2017 Volvo V60 SUV, driven by a man from Poughkeepsie, was traveling northwest on Hooker Avenue when it struck the woman as she was attempting to cross the road northbound at or near a crosswalk, Cropley said. 2 Women Hospitalized After Crash Near Shopping Center In Hudson Valley Two people were injured in a two-car crash in the region. The collision occurred in Dutchess County around 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, on Route 9 at the intersection of Galleria Drive near the AT&T store and Vitamin Shoppe in the Town of Poughkeepsie. According to the Poughkeepsie Police, a 2016 Honda sedan, driven by a Poughkeepsie woman, was heading northbound on Route 9 when it collided with a 2013 Audi sedan. The Audi, driven by a Fishkill woman, was heading west as she exited the parking lot and was hit by the Honda.  The drivers of both cars received injuries during the cra…
