Firefighter Falls Through Floor While Battling Blaze At Hudson Valley Home A firefighter fell through a floor during the response to a blaze at a Northern Westchester residence. The blaze began on Tuesday, Oct. 29 inside the laundry room at a North Salem home on Nash Road, according to the Croton Falls Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews soon began dousing the flames with hose lines and started making their way inside. Driver Flown to Hospital After Truck Rolls Over On I-84 In Hudson Valley An interstate in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed after a truck overturned, injuring the driver.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 10, when a truck crashed on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 just east of Route 312 in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  As a result of the crash, the driver became trapped inside the truck's twisted structure. 2 People Rescued After Cars Crash, Flip Into Swift Water Below Parkway In Hudson Valley Two people had to cross a ladder over fast-moving water to get to safety after their cars crashed and overturned next to a stream during heavy rain in Northern Westchester.  The rescue happened on Sunday, Aug. 18 at around 4:30 p.m., when two vehicles crashed and flipped on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, eventually ending up in a stream 100 feet off the road, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.  Because of heavy rain that had just passed through the area, the normally small stream had turned into a "swift water scenario," the department said, …
