A child was airlifted to the hospital after being seriously injured during a fall on a school field trip in the region. The incident happened at about 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 in Dutchess County at the Mount Beacon Trail head. A driver was taken to a hospital following a crash in Northern Westchester that left two utility poles snapped. The crash happened on Friday, Oct. 4 just before 8:30 p.m., when a vehicle hit two poles on Route 133 in Mount Kisco near the intersection with Crow Hill Road, according to Independent Fire Co. #13 of the Mount Kisco Fire Department. A stretch of Interstate 84 in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed to traffic after a car went up in flames on the shoulder. The blaze happened in Putnam County on Saturday evening, Sept. 21, when a vehicle caught on fire on Interstate 84 West in Brewster, according to the village's fire department. A driver was flown to a hospital after crashing into a swamp in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, Sept. 18 around 8:15 p.m., when a vehicle left the roadway at the intersection of Route 6 and Route 312 in Brewster and crashed down a 20-foot embankment into a swamp, according to the Brewster Fire Department. A car overturned following a crash on a road in the region. The incident happened just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Northern Westchester when the car flipped on the eastern half of Colabaugh Pond Road in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department. A man on an outing with his family at Harriman State Park drowned after jumping into the lake and swimming about 100 feet away. Orange County 19-Year-Old Drowns In Home Pool
A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man died after being found unresponsisve in a home pool. The incident occurred in Orange County around 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15 on Meadow Streeet in the town of Newburgh. According to Lt.
