'Mass Casualty' Declared After School Bus Crash Injures Multiple Students In Lindenhurst Several people were injured following a school bus crash on Long Island. The wreck happened in North Lindenhurst, on Sunrise Highway near North Delaware Avenue, at around 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 3. A total of eight people were taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, according to preliminary radio traffic. Their ages and the extent of their injuries were not immediately clear. Lake Grove Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run Identified: Suffolk County Police (Update) A 24-year-old woman killed in a hit-and-run crash while crossing Nesconset Highway in Lake Grove has been identified, Suffolk County Police announced on Sunday, Feb. 2. Sampada Aduulla, of Lake Grove, was struck by an eastbound vehicle near Hallock Road at 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, police said. The driver fled the scene. Aduulla was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

The victim was driving a black 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle in the wrong direction on southbound Patchogue-Mount Sinai Road, when he collided with a 2022 Honda CR-V at the intersection of Canal Road.
