6 Nabbed After Fight Breaks Out Near Hofstra University In Uniondale A group of men were all arrested after at least two people were stabbed or slashed when a fight broke out near a college. It happened in Uniondale on Wednesday, June 19, according to Nassau County Police. At around 4:20 p.m. that day, an altercation occurred between two men outside of 1000 Hempstead Turnpike, on the outskirts of the Hofstra University campus. The fight soon escalated, with four other men reportedly joining in.
