48-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Nassau County Crash A motorcyclist was critically injured after police say a car cut across his path on Long Island. The incident unfolded on Saturday, Nov. 9, at about 4:45 p.m. in Lakeview, on Glen Road.  The 48-year-old man was riding a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle northbound when a 42-year-old driver of a 2019 Acura SUV made a turn in front of him, resulting in the collision, according to Nassau County Police. Person Hospitalized After 2-Vehicle Long Island Crash A person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Coram. A 47-year-old Coram man was riding a bicycle northbound on West Yaphank Road, south of Beach Lane, when he was struck by a northbound 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old woman. Long Island Man ID'd As Victim In Double-Fatal Wrong-Way Driver Crash In Two men were killed during a wrong-way driver crash on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, in LaGrange. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, an initial investigation determined Joseph W. LaFave, age 35, of LaGrange, driving a 2017 BMW X1, traveled north in the southbound lane on the Taconic State Parkway in the area of Todd Hill Road.  Hicks said LaFave struck a 2017 Lincoln Navigator head-on in the left southbound lane.
