Arrest Made In Stabbing At Long Island Apartment Complex: Cops

Police have announced an arrest in the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man at a Long Island apartment complex.

Antwane Lee, 31, of Bay Shore, has been charged with second-degree murder in the Sunday, March 30 incident that left Justin Evans dead at the apartments on Pondview Drive in East Patchogue, Suffolk County police said.

Lee will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on April 2.

Officers responded to the Heatherwood apartments in East Patchogue, located just steps from NYU Langone Hospital, for a fight at around 8 p.m. Sunday, March 30.

Once on scene, they located Evans suffering from a stab wound to his neck, according to Suffolk County Police. Evans, of Bay Shore, was driven by private vehicle to NYU Langone, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
