Officials are investigating following a mid-air collision during an air show in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 3:30 p.m., Sunday, July 28, in the area of the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Rhinebeck. According to the Red Hook Fire Company, two planes that participated in the air show at the Aerodrome were involved in the collision. The department said one plane landed safely at the Aerodrome, and the other one crashed nearby. Person Killed In Crash Between Car, SUV In Hudson Valley
One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened at around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, July 27 on a stretch of I-84 in Orange County. New York State Police say that a preliminary investigation revealed that a small compact car was rear-ended by an SUV in the town of Newburgh, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and the SUV to roll over. A beloved musician was killed in a crash and subsequent car fire in the region as good Samaritans desperately tried to save him. The Greene County incident happened at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, on State Route 9W in Catskill. A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after allegedly stealing from a Home Depot and then crashing into two police cruisers to escape before crashing. Orange County resident Clarence Hulzenga, age 48, of Highland, was arrested in the town of Newburgh on Wednesday, July 10 in Newburgh. According to Lt. Three people were killed in a head-on highway crash in the region. The Greene County wreck happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20, on Route 23 in the town of Windham. Sheriff’s officials said a Buick SUV was heading eastbound on State Route 23 when it collided with a westbound Chevrolet pickup truck near the intersection of Cross Road. A Hudson Valley man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for arranging his neighbor's murder. Orange County resident Enoch Lowe, age 25, of Wallkill, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in Orange County Court on Thursday, July 18, following convictions for murder and related charges in the death of Jeffrey Harris. One person is in critical condition following a three-vehicle crash in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred in Orange County around 12:16 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, on Route 211 West in Wallkill.
