NJ Teen Mom Left Baby In Getaway Car During Botched NY Vehicle Theft, Police Say A New Jersey woman and a teenage boy were caught attempting to steal a running vehicle in Hewlett while an infant sat in their getaway car, police said. Officers responded to a home on Seawane Road around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, after a resident saw an unknown male inside his running vehicle, Nassau County police said. When confronted, the suspect fled in a white Hyundai driven by an unknown female. According to State Police, Juan A. Gonzalez Gomez, age 25, originally from Honduras, is wanted on an active warrant in Orange County for sex abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, and forcible touching. He is also wanted on two active parole violation warrants and may have traveled to Virginia, police said. Couple Leaves Infant On Beach While Boating At Lake George, Police Say Two parents are accused of leaving their infant child alone while they went boating on a popular beach in New York frequented by residents throughout the state and elsewhere. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon, June 18, on the western shore of Lake George, near Lake Shore Drive. New York State Police said someone called 911 after hearing the infant crying and finding the child unattended roughly five feet from the shoreline. The child was not injured.
