Traffic Alert: Crash Causes Hours-Long I-87 Closure In Region
A fuel tank rollover crash has caused heavy delays on a busy stretch of the New York State Thruway. State Police said the crash has all I-87 southbound lanes closed from Exit 21 in Catskill to Ulster County in Saugerties Exit 20 for at least the next six hours. State police said the crash occurred in Ulster County around 3:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, near mile marker 105. No one was injured, but an unknown quantity of diesel fuel spilled and is in the process of being cleaned up. Route 303 To Close In Both Directions In Rockland County For Repair Work
Motorists in Rockland County can expect delays and detours as Route 303 closes in both directions for sewer repair work. The New York State Department of Transportation said Route 303 between Route 20 (Orangeburg Road) and Erie Street in the town of Orangetown will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. on Friday, June 28, through Noon on Saturday, June 29, to facilitate sewer main repairs, weather permitting. Route 9W Stretch To Close In Rockland County For Maintenace Work
Motorists should anticipate delays and detours when Route 9W closes in both directions for maintenance. The State Department of Transportation said the closure will take place between Shadyside Avenue and Hickey Street in Orangetown from 6 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, weather permitting.
