Rockland County Crash Sends 1 To Hospital, Police Looking For Witnesses A person was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a busy Hudson Valley intersection. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road. Rockland Paramedic Services and the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps responded to the location to administer medical treatment.  The victim was transported to Nyack …

Route 303 To Close In Both Directions In Rockland County For Repair Work Motorists in Rockland County can expect delays and detours as Route 303 closes in both directions for sewer repair work. The New York State Department of Transportation said Route 303 between Route 20 (Orangeburg Road) and Erie Street in the town of Orangetown will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. on Friday, June 28, through Noon on Saturday, June 29, to facilitate sewer main repairs, weather permitting. West Nile Virus Detected In Hudson Valley County Health officials in a Hudson Valley county warn residents to protect themselves after a group of mosquitoes tested positive for the West Nile Virus. The group was detected on Monday, June 17, in Rockland County in the town of Orangetown, according to the Rockland County Department of Health.  So far this year, 33 groups have been submitted for testing. Man, 71, Killed In Mountain Bike Accident At State Park In Hudson Valley A 71-year-old man was killed in a mountain bike accident at a state park in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 3:15 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, at Tallman Mountain State Park in Orangetown.
