Burglary Of Mobil Station Leads To Arrest Of 3 Hudson Valley Men
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of three Poughkeepsie men concerning a burglary at a Mobil station.
The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, on Route 55 in LaGrange.
According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, deputies encountered three suspicious men near the Mobil station.
Shortly after, it was discovered that a burglary had just occurred at the location. Following an investigation, Watterson said, the three were taken into custody.

'Sing Sing', Based On Events In Hudson Valley, First Film Shown In Prisons, Theaters: Report
A movie based on a theater program at a maximum security prison in the Hudson Valley is making history by becoming the first film to be screened in prisons across the country, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
"Sing Sing," based on the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in the Northern Westchester village of Ossining, will again be released in theaters on Friday, Jan. 17. Fatal Crash In Dutchess County Claims Life Of Local Woman; Alcohol Suspected, Police Say
A two-car crash in Dutchess County has claimed the life of a local woman, police reported.
The incident occurred at 7:05 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, near the intersection of Old Quaker Hill Road and Meeting House Road in Pawling.
According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, upon arrival, deputies discovered Lisa M. Gutierrez, age 52, of Pawling, suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Gutierrez was transported to Danbury Hospital, where she later died on Tuesday, January 14, Watterson said.

The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office announced that Derrick Woodhouse, age 50, of Poughkeepsie, has been sentenced to 20 years to life for kidnapping and 2 to 4 years for attempted robbery following his conviction by a Dutchess County jury.
The charges stem from a harrowing incident on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2023, when Woodhouse abducted a pregnant woman and two minor children at knifepoint in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Man Charged With Fatal Shooting Of 20-Year-Old In Hudson Valley
Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi announced that Thomas Case, age 53, has been charged with murder in the second degree in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man.
Case, a Pleasant Valley resident, was arraigned on Monday, Jan. 13, for the Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, shooting death of Anthony Cuozzo in Pleasant Valley, said Dutchess County District Attorney Anthony Parisi.
He was also arraigned on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

A Poughkeepsie man wanted in connection with a significant drug bust in East Fishkill has been arrested following a community tip, authorities announced.
