2 Cars Rollover In Hudson Valley During Snowstorm (Photos) Firefighters responded to two rollover crashes on both the Taconic State Parkway and another busy road in Westchester. The crashes happened in Yorktown on Sunday evening, Jan. 19 amid a snowstorm, the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department said on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The wrecks happened on the Taconic State Parkway and on Underhill Avenue, the department said. More information about injuries and the causes of both crashes was not immediately available.

Car Goes Up In Flames Near Parkway In Hudson Valley A vehicle blaze near a parkway in Northern Westchester sent a column of smoke into the air before it was put out by firefighters.  The fire happened in Yorktown on Sunday morning, Aug. 25, when a vehicle was consumed by flames on Underhill Avenue near its crossing with the Taconic State Parkway, according to the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews were soon able to extinguish the blaze, the department said.  No injuries were reported.
