A 34-year-old man was caught with items stolen from a supermarket in the region after officers found him hiding behind a rock wall, police said. In Northern Westchester County, Shrub Oak resident Jonathan Tozzo was arrested following an incident in Yorktown on Thursday, Oct. 24, Yorktown Police announced on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Police in the Hudson Valley are working to identify a man wanted in connection with the alleged theft of tools from a fire department construction site. The incident occurred in Orange County at the Vails Gate Fire Department construction site late on Wednesday, Sept. 4. A Hudson Valley man has been hit with grand larceny charges after allegedly stealing wire and other power grid material from a contractor working with a utility company in Northern Westchester, police said. Putnam County resident Michael Dziedzic of Mahopac, age 38, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 9 in connection with the alleged theft, New York State Police announced on Monday, Aug. 26. A former New York attorney is heading to prison after confessing that he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from his clients. Authorities in the Hudson Valley are warning residents to take precautions following multiple incidents of items taken from vehicles, as well as one instance of a car stolen from a residence and used to commit thefts. Authorities are warning residents to lock their cars after electronics and cash were stolen from several vehicles in multiple Hudson Valley neighborhoods. The thefts were reported in Putnam County on Friday morning, June 14, when Carmel Police learned that unlocked vehicles had been entered in the South Lake and North Lake Boulevard neighborhoods in Mahopac.
