Traffic Alert: Crash Causes Hours-Long I-87 Closure In Region A fuel tank rollover crash has caused heavy delays on a busy stretch of the New York State Thruway. State Police said the crash has all I-87 southbound lanes closed from Exit 21 in Catskill to Ulster County in Saugerties Exit 20 for at least the next six hours. State police said the crash occurred in Ulster County around 3:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, near mile marker 105. No one was injured, but an unknown quantity of diesel fuel spilled and is in the process of being cleaned up.  The southbound lanes will be closed most of the morning until the cleanup is complete, state police said. …

The incident happened at 5:52 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, in Ulster County near the New York State Thruway interchange in the town of New Paltz. Double-Fatal Crash: Man, Woman ID'd As Victims After Tractor-Trailer Rolls Over On NY Thruway Two people were killed in a crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer on the New York State Thruway. The crash happened around 8 a.m. Thursday, May 23 in Albany.
