3 Dogs Left Behind By Putnam Woman Killed In Crash Need New Home The death of a Putnam County woman in a tragic car crash in Connecticut has left her three well-loved dogs in need of a new home. Diane K. Mahopac Woman Killed In CT Head-On Collision That Sent 3 Teens To Hospital A 62-year-old woman was killed earlier this week in a head-on crash with an SUV in Fairfield County. Diane K. Staab, of Mahopac, New York, was identified as the victim who died in the crash, which occurred in New Fairfield on Monday, Jan. 13, shortly before 9:30 p.m., Connecticut State Police said. The crash happened on Ball Pond Road just north of Harvest Road. Staab's Jeep collided head-on with an oncoming SUV. Rollover Crash Victim, Taxi Driver Nabbed For Drunk Driving In Putnam: Police Several people were nabbed on drunk driving charges in the Hudson Valley over the holiday weekend, including a Westchester woman rescued from a rolled-over car and a taxi driver, police said. The arrests were announced by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday, Oct. 17, and were all made over Columbus Day weekend.  The first incident happened on Friday, Oct. 11 in Putnam Valley, when a car crashed and flipped on Church Road in the area of Kramers Pond Road.  Arriving sheriff's deputies found a vehicle on its side with downed live wires nearby. Search Resumes For 2 Swimmers Missing In Candlewood Lake An extensive search and rescue mission will resume early on Tuesday, July 16, for two men who jumped from a boat in a Fairfield County lake and never resurfaced. The incident occurred in Danbury at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16, at Candlewood Lake in the area of City Island. According to Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Fire Department, it was reported that two men had jumped off a boat into the lake and disappeared. Henry said rescue crews immediately began search and rescue efforts, using boats equipped with sonar and underwater imaging equipment to help locate the men. H…
