Fatal Crash: Dutchess Woman ID'd As Victim After Car Hits Barrier In Pleasant Valley
A man sustained serious injuries, and his passenger died after a single-car crash in the region. It happened in Dutchess County around 7:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, in Pleasant Valley. New York State Police said a 55-year-old Poughkeepsie man was driving a 2006 Honda sedan eastbound on Sherow Road when he failed to stop at the intersection with North Avenue. The vehicle crossed both lanes of North Avenue, ultimately hitting a barrier on the east shoulder, said police. Man Found Drowning In Hudson Valley Lake Dies At Hospital
A man died after he was found unresponsive in waters near a Hudson Valley beach, police announced. The incident leading to the man's death began in Putnam County on Tuesday, July 16 around 1:45 p.m., when a possible drowning incident was reported at Canopus Lake Beach in Fahnestock State Park off Route 301 in Kent. According to Kent Police, arriving first responders and police helped park staff and lifeguards perform CPR on an 82-year-old man who was found unresponsive in waters near the beach. 22-Year-Old Shot In Broad Daylight In Hudson Valley
Police are searching for a suspect after a 22-year-old man was shot on a street in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 11:45 a.m., Saturday, June 8, in the city of Poughkeepsie. According to the city of Poughkeepsie Police, officers responded to the area of Main Street and N White Street to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located numerous spent shell casings but no victims.
