Bank Robber Nabbed 7 Minutes After Fleeing Branch in Region, Police Say An accused bank robber didn’t have much time to spend his proceeds. Alex Courtwright, 49, of Watervliet, was arrested just seven minutes after he robbed the M&T bank on Hoosick Street in Troy on Monday morning, Feb. 10, Troy Police said. Courtwright entered the bank at around 11:42 a.m. and demanded money from the teller before making off with several hundred dollars, police said. After fleeing on foot, he made it several blocks before he was spotted by officers with the agency’s Second Platoon Patrol. 26-Year-Old Drowns In Lake In Region While Out With Family A 26-year-old Capital Region man was pulled from a lake over the weekend after he drowned while out with his family, authorities said.  Police in Rensselaer County were called to Poestenkill Gorge Park on Linden Avenue in Troy just after 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1. A Troy man had gone into the water and not resurfaced.  Bystanders pulled him out, but it was too late. 8 Pounds Of Meth Seized In Traffic Stop In Region; Man Busted After Chase Police say a man from the region attempted to escape after they found eight pounds of methamphetamines during a traffic stop earlier this week, but he didn't make it very far.  Rensselaer County resident Terrence Ravenell, age 28, of Troy, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 20, and charged with multiple felonies, Troy police said.  Police were called to an area on Lincoln Avenue to reports of suspicious activity on Tuesday night. They found Ravenell in a parked car near the intersection with Seward Street. Police found drugs during an interview, and Ravenell ran away. Troy office…
