Hudson Valley Man Nabbed Beating Up Girlfriend With His Fists, Police Say A Hudson Valley teen was charged with assault after allegedly beating up his girlfriend on more than one occasion, injuring her with his fists and choking her.  Rockland County resident Thomas Peragine, age 19, of Stony Point, was charged in Stony Point on Thursday, Oct. 24. Copper Pipe Thieves Caught In Action At Hudson Valley Building, Police Say Two Hudson Valley men were nabbed while allegedly stealing copper wire and pipes in the basement of a building. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 2:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at a building on Patriot Hills Drive in Stony Point. According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, officers responding to the building on a suspicious person call could power tools being used inside. The officers, with help from Stony Point Police detectives and Rockland County Sheriff's deputies, were able to call two men out of the building without incident.  …
