The incident began in Westchester County at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, when troopers attempted to stop a 2021 Nissan Sentra on I-87 in the village of Ardsley and ended in Rockland County in Nyack when the vehicle was stopped by the Orangetown Police on Route 59. It happened around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 on I-87 in Albany County just before the Exit 6-7 off-ramp in Colonie. Man Struck, Killed By SUV Was Inspecting Car After Minor Crash In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man who was involved in a minor crash on the New York Thruway was killed when he stepped out of his vehicle to inspect the damage and was struck by a 2018 Ford SUV.  Saul Clark, 55, of Paterson, New Jersey, had gotten out of his vehicle in the southbound lanes of I-87 in West Nyack when he was struck by the passing SUV driven by a Nyack woman just before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel said. Traffic Alert: Crash Causes Hours-Long I-87 Closure In Region A fuel tank rollover crash has caused heavy delays on a busy stretch of the New York State Thruway. State Police said the crash has all I-87 southbound lanes closed from Exit 21 in Catskill to Ulster County in Saugerties Exit 20 for at least the next six hours. State police said the crash occurred in Ulster County around 3:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, near mile marker 105. Hudson Valley Man Busted With Kilo Of Cocaine During Traffic Stop, Police Say A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after he was allegedly busted with a kilo of cocaine during a traffic stop. Ulster County resident Anthony Johnson, age 41, of Kingston, was stopped on Thursday, Oct. 10, on I-87 while driving a 2018 Audi Q7 in Orange County in Cornwall. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a probable cause search of the vehicle during the stop by troopers and K9 Moran yielded a kilo of cocaine and $7,739 in cash.
