Troopers in Columbia County responded to a Claverack residence on Route 217, north of Tishauser Road, for a stabbing at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26.
They found four men suffering from stab wounds, two of whom were flown to Albany Medical Center, a New York State Police spokesperson told Daily Voice. The other two victims were taken by ambulance to the same hospital.
The victims’ conditions and the extent of their injuries were not immediately given, nor were their relationships to one another. The men are ages 19, 21, and two 35-year-olds.
New York State Police had not identified a suspect nor announced an arrest in the case as of 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, and the circumstances leading up to the attack were not clear.
“Police want residents of the area to know that there is no danger to the public,” the agency told Daily Voice, noting that the investigation is ongoing.
