The wait just got a little shorter for families to enjoy a new indoor water park near Foxwoods Resort Casino. Great Wolf Lodge Mashantucket will now open on Friday, May 9, the resort's website said. The 92,000-square-foot park next to Foxwoods was previously anticipating to welcome guests on Friday, May 23. The $300 million resort is part of a partnership with the Pequot tribe. State Awards $3.5M For Shoreline Restoration At Long Island Beaches
New York State will spend millions of dollars rebuilding Long Island beaches. The state has allocated $3.5 million for shoreline restoration projects at Tobay and Overlook beaches in the wake of significant storm damage and erosion.
