21-Year-Old Nabbed After Breaking Into Long Island Home, Police Say A 21-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a Long Island home. Nassau County Police were called about a break-in at an Inwood residence on Wahl Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2. When officers arrived, they found Wilber Sigaran fleeing the scene, police said. An officer caught up to Sigaran and deployed a TASER device in order to place him under arrest. Sigaran, of Inwood, is charged with assault and burglary. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, Oct. 3.

During the call, he told the woman there were fraudulent charges on her bank card and they would arrange for someone to pick up the card from her home. Nathalie Sevilla was last seen leaving her North Lawrence residence at around 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. Relatives reported her missing the following day. Sevilla is 5-foot-6 and 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a black sweater. Police said she may have traveled to Baywood Avenue in Inwood. Worker Airlifted Following Accident At Long Island Industrial Business An employee was hospitalized following an accident at a Long Island industrial business. Emergency crews in Inwood were called to the Inwood Material Terminal located on Sheridan Boulevard shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. Nassau County Police said a preliminary investigation found that a 49-year-old man fell off the platform of an excavator and landed on the ground. Medics at the scene treated the victim for back trauma before he was flown to a hospital. The man was conscious and alert throughout the ordeal, police said. The accident is under investigation.
