Gilgo Beach Murders: Reward Offered As New Details Released About 'Asian Doe' Victim
Authorities are hoping new details about a male victim in the Gilgo Beach serial murders case – and a cash reward – will lead to his identification. On Long Island, the Gilgo Beach Task Force released details about clothing that was worn by the so-called “Asian Doe,” whose skeletal remains were found along Ocean Parkway in Gilgo Beach on April 4, 2011. The man, who investigators revealed was beaten to death sometime prior to 2006, was found wearing all women’s clothing. Thief Walks Off With $20K Watch From Long Island Jewelry Store
Police are asking for help in identifying a thief who walked out of a Long Island jewelry store with a watch worth thousands of dollars. The incident happened in Huntington Station, at the Tourneau store located at Walt Whitman Shops, at around 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 12. Suffolk County Police said a man stole a Cartier watch valued at approximately $20,000. Anyone with information leading to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward from Suffolk County Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted on the organization’s website or by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.

Man Wanted For Forcible Touching At Long Island Stop & Shop
Police are working to identify a man accused of sexually assaulting someone at a Long Island Stop & Shop. The incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, July 8, in Merrick at the Stop & Shop located near Merrick Avenue and Smith Street. Nassau County Police said the man forcibly touched the victim “in an inappropriate sexual manner.” No other details were given. Know Him? Burglar Nabs $5K From Pair Of Long Island Businesses; Reward Offered For Info
Police are asking for help in identifying a commercial burglary suspect who helped himself to thousands of dollars from a pair of Long Island businesses. Suffolk County Police said the break-ins occurred at around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, in Lindenhurst, at two businesses on Wellwood Avenue. Surveillance footage showed the suspect, clad in all black clothing and a black face mask, forcibly entering Paris 1 Nail Salon through a rear door. Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying and locating a man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run. The crash occurred in Huntington Station on Sunday, May 5, killing Amilar Velasquez, who was walking northbound on the shoulder of West Hills Road.
