A Babylon man is accused of fatally beating another man during a violent altercation in a Bay Shore parking lot, Suffolk County police announced Friday, Feb. 28.
James Rogers, 66, struck Mark Iacono, 65, multiple times in the parking lot at 107 East Main St. around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, investigators said.
Iacono, a Patchogue resident, was rushed to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.

Philip Walker, 58, of Mastic, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the death of Jimmy Vaughn.

Parrish, 30, of Medford, was hit by a 2012 Nissan driven by 22-year-old Yvonne Balbucacuji near Sycamore Street at 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, police said.

A Long Island woman was driving under the influence when she caused a crash that killed a 75-year-old mother, according to authorities.
Suffolk County Police said the collision occurred on Friday, Nov. 22, at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Middle Country Road near Wading River Hollow Road in Middle Island.
