Lirr Crash: Taxi Driver Stopped On Tracks Before Fatal Long Island Collision, Police Say Authorities have identified a taxi driver who was killed when his taxi was struck by a Long Island Rail Road train. The incident happened in Manorville, at the Wading River Road crossing, at around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 30.
