Forest Rangers Rescue Severely Injured 78-Year-Old From Hudson Valley Mountain
A hiker on a mountain in the region who may have broken their pelvis in a fall was rescued by forest rangers from the state Department of Environmental Conservation. The incident occurred in Ulster County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, on Overlook Moutain in the Echo Lake area in Woodstock. According to the DEC, Ulster County 911 requested Forest Ranger assistance for an injured hiker on Overlook Mountain in the area of Echo Lake. 4 Boaters, 2 Dogs Rescued After Boat Capsizes In Hudson River
Firefighters rescued four people and two dogs after a 17-foot boat capsized in the Hudson River. The incident occurred in Dutchess County near New Hamburgh and the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 3. According to Chief Jeffrey Renihan of the New Hamburg Fire Department, the department responded to a water emergency call that four people and two animals were hanging on a 17-foot boat that had capsized in the Hudson River.
