Shotgun-Toting 11-Year-Old Lands Long Island Man In Handcuffs, Police Say A Long Island man is facing criminal charges after an 11-year-old boy was seen carrying a shotgun outside his home, police said. The incident happened in Bayville, at a residence on 7th Street, at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. Nassau County Police said a 13-year-old boy was riding his bicycle when an 11-year-old boy carrying a shotgun came outside and told the teen to get away from his house. Compliance checks were conducted at 19 retail vendors throughout the Town of Riverhead on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The operation targeted the sale of alcohol products to patrons under the age of 21.
