A new restaurant on Long Island serving up Mediterranean flavors is delighting diners.
FETA – located in Bellmore at 2495 Merrick Road – opened in late September 2024.
Billed as a “fun, fast-casual” restaurant, its menu boasts an array of Mediterranean cuisine, including homemade hummus and tzatziki, hand rolled falafels, and lamb meatballs.

Via Cuma Sourdough Pizza & Cucina held its grand opening on Monday, Aug. 19, in Valley Stream at 415 Rockaway Avenue.
Under the direction of chef-owner Luca Schiano Di Cola, the eatery serves up nearly a dozen pies, including margherita, Neapolitan, and capricciosa.
Diners can also opt for the salsiccia friarielli e provola, made with smoked fior di latte cheese, pork sausage, broccoli rabe, chili pepper, shaved parmigiano reggiano, and olive oil.

Two Long Island men have a million more reasons to be smiling after winning seven-figure lottery prizes.
Jose Carranza, of Mastic, claimed a $1 million prize on the “Platinum Power” scratch-off game, New York Lottery announced.
He purchased the lucky ticket in east Moriches, at East End Marketing on Montauk Highway.
After paying Uncle Sam, Carranza pocketed $416,641.
Not to be outdone was Ricky Alessi, of St. James, who claimed his own $1 million windfall after hitting a Powerball second prize for the drawing held Monday, May 27.
