A 33-year-old Capital Region man faces multiple felonies in a shooting following an argument earlier this summer that left a teenager struggling to walk, authorities said. Woman Accused Of Stealing Dog In Capital Region
A 46-year-old woman from the region was arrested this week after police said she and another woman stole two dogs from a home earlier this month. Shalon Jones, of Albany, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property and hindering prosecution, Albany police said. She was remanded to the Albany County jail, authorities continued. A man from the region will spend the next four decades to life behind bars after being convicted of the murder of a woman in 2022, authorities said. Rensselaer County resident Tyshaun Purvis, age 33, of Troy, was sentenced to 34 years to life in prison Thursday, Aug. 22, for the fatal daylight shooting of Dominique Eley, the Albany County District Attorney’s Office said. A man from the region murdered both of his parents before jumping to his death from a highway bridge in upstate New York, police said. Troopers in Albany were called about a man threatening to jump from the Patroon Island Bridge (I-90) at around 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. Woman Injured In Stabbing Attack In Capital Region
A woman is recovering after she was repeatedly stabbed on a residential street in the region. The attack happened in Albany’s Arbor Hill neighborhood, on North Pearl Street near Wilson Street, at around 5:40 p.m. Monday, July 22.
