Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued in Orange County until 9 p.m. on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is expected to move into the area as the afternoon progresses bringing potentially powerful thunderstorms that could dump up to half an inch of rain. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. 

The wet weather will move out of the area overnight and sunny skies and temperatures in the 80s are expected for the weekend.
