Work will begin Monday on the $14.7 million project, which will raise the height of the overpass from 14 to 16 feet at the interchange. The funding was awarded by the New York State Bridge Authority in late February.
During construction - which is expected to last for nearly two years - will be done two lanes at a time, from south to north, and is expected to be completed in 2020. While work is ongoing, westbound traffic on I-84 will be limited to two lanes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
