1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized After Gas Leak At Home ln Region
A 66-year-old man died, and two others were hospitalized after a suspected gas leak at a home in the region.
The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in Wurtsboro.
According to New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel, the preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were exposed to carbon monoxide and experienced varying degrees of exposure.
The victims were identified as Baoli Xu, age 55, and Haijun Wang, age 63, both from Wurtsboro, as well as a 66-year-old man from Flushing.

Woman Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center After Crash Between Car, Tractor-Trailer
A Hudson Valley woman was seriously injured following a crash with a tractor-trailer.
The crash took place in Orange County around 11:15 a.m., Thursday, June 1 in the town of Newburgh.
According to Lt, Peter Talarico, of the town of Newburgh Police, officers on the scene found an accident involving a 2008 Infinity and a 2002 tractor-trailer.

A fire chief and town highway superintendent in the region has been arrested for alleged sex crimes against a child.
Sullivan County resident Robert Hufcut, age 55, of Wurtsboro, was arrested on Tuesday, May 31, for several sex crimes following a months-long investigation.
Hufcut, who is the Mamakating Highway Superintendent and Summitville Fire Department Chief in Sullivan County, has been charged with predatory sexual assault against a child and course of sexual conduct against a child, said Trooper Steven Nevel, of the New York State Police.

IDs Released In Hudson Valley Murder-Suicide At Restaurant Parking Lot Involving Off-Duty Cop
Police have released the names of two men killed during a murder-suicide in the parking lot of a Hudson Valley restaurant.
The incident took place in Orange County in the town of Wallkill around 10:30 p.m., Sunday, May 8.
When officers arrived on the scene at the Buffalo Wild Wings they found Sean Armstead, age 36, of Port Jervis, and Sullivan County resident Edward Wilkins, age 20, of Wurtsboro, said Lt. Robert McLymore, of the town of Wallkill Police.
