Report: Westchester School District May Be Spending Millions On Improperly Registered Students
A school district in Westchester may be spending millions of dollars to educate students that are improperly enrolled in the school by using false addresses, according to a report by CBS New York. Camp Director In Westchester Charged With Sexual Assault
A camp director in Westchester is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager. William O’Neill, a resident of Jackson, New Jersey, was arrested this week for allegedly abusing his teenage victim, who is between the ages of 13 and 16, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced. The alleged sexual assaults happened in the summer of 2018 and continued until the teen alerted authorities on Jan. 12. O’Neill is listed as a director on Scarsdale’s Camp Hillard website. Renowned for being the first African-American woman admitted into the Coast Guard as well as being a survivor of the Oklahoma Black Wall Street Riots, Olivia Hooker died on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at her Westchester home at the age of 103. Videos have been released of fights which left several people injured this past summer and resulted in criminal charges for a pair of firefighters in Westchester. The first video was taken inside Rory Dolan’s Restaurant and Bar on McLean Avenue at approximately 2 a.m. on June 11. The video shows the firefighters - later identified as Lt. Kids OK After Mini-Cooper Rear-Ends School Bus On Route 4 In Hackensack
A group of youngsters on a school bus involved in a multi-vehicle crash Monday morning on westbound Route 4 in Hackensack were hospitalized as a precaution, responders said. Former Westchester Schools Superintendent Dies At 67
Longtime Northern Westchester resident Paul Fried, who served as superintendent of two Westchester school districts and assistant superintendent at another, has died at age 67. Fried came to White Plains on July 1, 2015 from Montville Township, N.J., where he had been superintendent for five years. Fried went on medical leave a year after arriving in White Plains before resigning from his position later in 2016. A 23-year-old Westchester man who defied death for nearly two years after sustaining a traumatic brain injury during a car crash has passed away after suffering a seizure and going into cardiac arrest over the weekend. New Rochelle native Jyrel Daniel had come home from college in June 2016 when he was in a car with his friends that was struck by a driver in a BMW going 75 mph in a posted 25 mph.
