Rockland County resident Tzipora Deutsch, 20, of New Square, died on Tuesday, June 16, after being hospitalized following the horrific crash on Monday, June 15, reported Ramapo Police Lt. Blaine Howell. Orange County Head-On Crash Hospitalizes Five, One With Life-Threatening Injuries, Police Say Five people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash in Orange County. The crash took place around 8:15 p.m., Saturday, May 2, at the intersection of Lakes and Nelson Roads in Greenwood Lake, said Lt. John Rader of the Warwick Police. Four people were transported to Orange Regional Medical Center with injuries, Rader said. A fifth person received life-threatening injuries was flown by LifeNet to Hackensack Hospital, he added. ID Released For Man Killed After Car Goes Off I-84, Into Woods Police have released the identity of a man killed during a single-vehicle crash in the area. It happened on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in Fairfield County. Harold W. Gilligan, 50, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was killed around 1:45 p.m. on I-84 in Newtown, said the Connecticut State Police. According to police, Gilligan was killed when the  2011 Infiniti sedan he was driving ran off the roadway and into a wooded area near Exit 10. Gilligan was pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. There were no passengers. The crash remains under investigation.

ID Released For 32-Year-Old Man Killed In Orange County Crash A 32-year-old man killed during a two-vehicle crash in Orange County has been identified.  Bergen County resident Joseph R. Farina, of Mahwah, was killed around 7:20 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, following the crash on School Road in the town of Monroe, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, Patrick J. Early, 67, of Warwick, was driving a 2013 Acura TL west on School Road when he was involved in a collision with a 1996 Toyota Avalon traveling east being operated by Farnia. Farina was pronounced dead at the scene.  An investigation is ongoing.

State Trooper Narrowly Escapes Injury After Patrol Car Gets Hit On Taconic Parkway A New York State trooper narrowly escaped injury after his patrol car was rear-ended while he was assisting another driver. The crash took place around 7:29 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2, on the Taconic State Parkway in LaGrange, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. The trooper was outside of his vehicle assisting a driver who had been involved in another crash and was not injured. The driver was ticketed for failing to obey the Move Over law and for excessive speed, he added. No serious injuries were reported in either crash.
