Man, Dog Struck, Killed By Train In Area
An oncoming train killed a man and his dog in the area, police said. The two were both found dead in Orange County on the train tracks in the area of South Water Street and Renwick Street by City of Newburgh police at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6. It was unclear why the man was walking his dog on the train tracks, police said. The identity of the deceased man has not been released by police, and there is an active investigation into the incident. Newburgh Snow Emergency Goes Into Effect
With as much as a foot of snow and sleet expected to blanket Orange County on Wednesday, Newburgh city officials have declared a snow emergency. Newburgh City Manager Michael Ciaravino has declared a snow emergency in Newburgh, effective as of 6 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, during which, snow emergency parking regulations will be in effect until it is lifted. Snow Emergency Declared In Newburgh
With Mother Nature expected to drop as much of a foot of snow in the Hudson Valley Wednesday, officials in Newburgh have declared a Snow Emergency, which will be in effect indefinitely. Newburgh City Manager Michael Ciaravino announced that after consulting with city officials, the Snow Emergency was declared, effective as of 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6.
