Woman Faces Prostitution Charge After Police Go Undercover In Hudson Valley
A woman has been charged with prostitution after police completed an undercover operation in the Hudson Valley. On Monday, June 13 in Orange County, the New Windsor Police Department conducted the investigation at the A & A Spa, located on Windsor Highway, after receiving a complaint from a customer that prostitution was occurring inside the business. During the investigation, an undercover police officer was offered sexual conduct in return for a fee by an employee of the spa, New Windsor Police said. Four Hudson Valley Businesses Nabbed For Selling Alcohol To Minor During Sting OP, Police Say
Four Hudson Valley businesses were busted for selling alcohol to a minor during a sting operation. The operation took place in Orange County in New Windsor and Newburgh on Thursday, June 9. During the operation, New Windsor police conducted an underage alcohol sale enforcement detail at 23 businesses in town that are licensed to sell alcoholic beverages, said Chief of New Windsor Police Robert Doss. Man Killed After House Fire Breaks Out In Area, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was found dead inside a home following a residential structure fire. Orange County resident Roger A. Smith, age 60 of New Windsor was found around 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, following a house fire in New Windsor, officials said. According to New Windsor Police Chief Robert Doss, the fire started around 7 p.m. at 17 Shaw Road. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the home fully engulfed in flames and smoke, Doss said. Holiday Patrols In Commercial Areas Help Reduced Crime In Orange County Town, Police Say
Police in an Orange County town are pointing to increased patrols as the reason for a low number of crimes in the commercial areas during the holiday season. The New Windsor Police Department conducted holiday patrols in the commercial areas of town during the month of December 2020, said Deputy Chief Michael Farbent. Motorist With Multiple DWI Arrests Busted Again For Impaired Driving In Area
An area man with multiple DWI arrests was busted over the weekend once again for alleged impaired driving, police said. Orange County resident Michael Burgher, of Washingtonville, 54, was stopped late on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Orange County when he committed a traffic violation in New Windsor, Police Chief Robert Doss announced. During the subsequent traffic stop, it was determined that Burgher was under the influence, and he was taken into custody.
