A motorcyclist that lost control of his bike and struck a rock caused a chain-reaction crash in the area that injured three, one of whom is in critical condition, according to state police. Motorcyclist Michael B. Naughton, 25, of Greentown, Pennsylvania, lost control of his 2005 Suzuki while riding at an unsafe speed in Orange County traveling north on Route 97 in Deerpark on Saturday, Oct. 10 at approximately 4 p.m., according to police. One Killed In Crash Between Minivan, Bicycle In Hudson Valley
One person was killed in a crash between a minivan and a bicycle in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 in Orange County in the town of Minisink. The bicyclist was traveling south on Lower Road approaching the intersection of State Line Road at the time of the crash, state police said. Alert Issued For Statewide Spike In Fatal Motorcycle Crashes
There has been a noteworthy increase in fatal motorcycle crashes in New York, prompting state officials to issue an alert warning cyclists to be more cautious, specifically with the arrival of the holiday weekend. 8-Year-Old Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center After Getting Hit By Pickup Truck
An 8-year-old boy was airlifted with serious injuries to the hospital after he was hit by a pickup truck while he was riding a dirt bike. The incident took place in Dutchess County around 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, in the Town of Rhinebeck, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. Truck Fire Causes I-84 Lane Closure
A stretch of I-84 has reopened after tractor-trailer fire. The fire started around 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31 eastbound in Montgomery, said the New York State Police. There were no injuries but the highway was closed for a short time while the fire was extinguished, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Nevel said as of 12:30 p.m., only the one exit ramp lane at Exit 28 is still blocked. An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.

A motorist was hospitalized after a car crashed into a retaining wall before landing on its hood in Airmont. First responders in Ramapo were dispatched to Cragmere Road at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 5, where there was a report of a one-car crash involving a mid-sized Subaru.
