Ready to ring in the new year? Then you should also be ready for rain.For the first time since 1995, rain is expected to be falling when the ball drops in Times Square. Light snow followed by temperatures hovering around the freezing mark resulted in black ice conditions in portions of the area during the Friday morning commute. Here's When Prolonged Dry Stretch Will Finally Come To An End
We're in the midst of a rare prolonged late fall dry stretch of weather. That's because a powerful coast-to-coast storm that originated on the West Coast stayed to our south, where it dumped as much as 19 inches of snowfall in parts of North Carolina over the weekend.
