A Paramus police officer's vehicle was struck by a 21-year-old New York man leading a pursuit out of Waldwick early Monday, Oct. 7, authorities said. Waldwick Officer Chris Sanchez saw a man later identified as Orange County, NY resident Jaoine Ford, of Chester, speeding in a 2023 Ford Escape on Route 17 south at 12:23 a.m., Waldwick Lt. Duo Accused Of Stealing 1,000 Gallons Of Cooking Oil In Connecticut
Two New York men are facing charges after authorities said they stole more than 1,000 gallons of cooking oil in Connecticut and then led police on a pursuit. The owner of Pizza Palace Restaurant in Middlesex County called police at about 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, to report that he had interrupted the theft of cooking oil at his restaurant, according to the Old Saybrook Police Department. K9 Officer Helps Catch Teen Car-Theft Suspect On I-84
A State Police K9 helped troopers nab a suspected car thief after he helped track down the man as he ran following a pursuit that ended with his tires flattened by stop sticks. The incident took place around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when state police received a report of a stolen car in Danbury. Troopers were able to quickly track down the 2017 Honda Pilot as it passed Exit 14 on I-84, according to a state police report.
