Dashcam video captures a Route 17 road rage incident that ended in a tractor-trailer crash in Mahwah. The footage “underscores the dangers of an increasing trend of road-rage incidents,” Police Chief James N. Batelli said Tuesday. Suspect Caught After Poughkeepsie Man, 25, Killed In Overnight Stabbing
A suspect is in custody after a 25-year-old man was fatally stabbed in an overnight incident in Poughkeepsie, police said. Police received a 911 call reporting the stabbing at 6 Hoffman Ave. at about 1:48 a.m. Wednesday, said Detective Lt. Matt Clark of the Poughkeepsie PD. Responding officers found the city resident stabbed once in the chest. The victim was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, Clark said. A group of potentially intoxicated teenagers became “combative” with police who attempted to break up a house party in Westchester following multiple noise complaints over the weekend. Shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night, officers were dispatched to a Berkeley Road home in Scarsdale, following reports of a noise complaint. Hudson Valley Man Sentenced For Firing Illegally Possessed Gun In The AIr
A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to 13 years in state prison for firing a pistol in the air during a street fight. Antonio Harriott, 27, of Newburgh, was sentenced by Orange County Court Judge William L. DeProspo to the 13 years in addition to five years post-release supervision after being found guilty of criminal possession of a weapon by a jury, according to Orange County District Attorney David M. GARFIELD, N.J. – An 80-year-old Garfield man reported missing after he left home in his car Wednesday morning was found just outside Trenton on Friday by a Good Samaritan who "noticed that he appeared lost," police said. The Good Samaritan helped Yun T. Lee contact his family and then local police in Lawrenceville, more than 60 miles from home. Police there determined that he was "in good health," Sucorowski said. Spring Valley Man Attacks Co-Worker With Hammer
An argument between co-workers at a Spring Valley auto repair shop ended with one of them hitting the other in the head with a hammer. Juan Carlos Paredes-Gonzalez., 41, of the Village of Spring Valley, was arrested following the assault around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday at Dutch Auto at 162 E. Route 59, said Spring Valley Officer Matthew Galli.
