Firefighters Battle Two-Alarm Town Of Poughkeepsie Blaze Firefighters were on scene within two minutes of a fully involved blaze at an abandoned residential-style structure that was close to two other buildings. The blaze took place around 7:30 p.m. Monday at 2611 South Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie, said Arlington Fire District Chief Tory Gallante. The first fire department unit arrived on the scene within two minutes of the initial dispatch and confirmed a fully involved fire located at the rear of the former Poughkeepsie Inn property.
