Piermont Man Breaks Into Apartment, Walks Around Naked, Police Say A Piermont man has been indicted on one count of burglary after allegedly breaking into an area apartment while naked. Brian Bates, 48, was indicted on Monday, Sept. 23, for crime, said acting Rockland County District Attorney Kevin P. Gilleece. According to the District Attorney's Office,  Bates allegedly unlawfully entered a Piermont home by removing a screen to a window in the back of an apartment and was seen walking in the residence while he was naked. Missing Woman Found Dead In Hudson River, Identified A 48-year-old woman who police had been searching for since Thursday has been found dead in the Hudson River and identified. Jennifer Kavanagh was found Sunday morning by the Piermont Police dive team near the end of the Piermont Pier, said the Piermont Police. "It is with a heavy heart that the Piermont Police Department is reporting that a missing person case that was filed on Friday, Oct. 12, has been resolved," the police department wrote on Facebook. According to the Piermont Police Department, first responders from across Rockland County were forced to call off the search for the woman who has been since Thursday night. Bicyclist Seriously Injured, Driver At Large In Hit-Run Incident With Box Truck Police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist seriously injured on Route 9W. The incident occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Piermont when a bicyclist was struck by a large white box truck. The box truck left the scene southbound on Route 9W in the area of 660 Route 9W ( 9W and Broadway). The bicyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to Nyack Hospital Emergency Department by Piermont FD ambulance.
