A popular smokehouse in Northern Westchester is undertaking a truly transformative New Year's resolution, as it will soon be turning into a Thai restaurant.
Peekskill Smokehouse, located at 15 North Division St., will be transforming into "Thaimeless Thai" in 2024, the owners announced on social media earlier in December.
To make the change, the smokehouse will close for a brief hiatus beginning on Monday, Jan. 1, the owners added.

Much-Loved Brewery Permanently Closes In Northern Westchester After One Last Event
A brewery in Northern Westchester that served as the site of countless beloved memories for visitors has closed for good.
Peekskill Brewery, located at 47 South Water St. in Peekskill, announced its permanent closure on Monday, Nov. 27 in a post on social media.
In their post, the owners did not give a reason for the closure but thanked those who came to the brewery's last "Kick the Keg" Happy Hour event held on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Four people, including Westchester and Fairfield County residents, face various charges after they were caught driving while intoxicated in the Hudson Valley, police said.

National Guard Sergeant Nabbed For Sexual Offenses In Northern Westchester, State Police Say
A ranking officer in the Army National Guard has been accused of committing sexual offenses, according to New York State Police.
Sergeant First Class Pablo Rivera, age 49, who resides on Long Island in Franklin Square, was arrested on Monday, May 15, and charged with two counts of forcible touching.
A lengthy investigation determined that the victim was inappropriately touched by Rivera on two different occasions in Northern Westchester County, in the town of Cortlandt and the city of Peekskill, state police announced on Wednesday, May 17.
